Dr. Melissa Perkins-Banas

Dr. Perkins-Banas is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist/ sports psychologist with a dual doctorate degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. She completed postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology/ sports psychology with internationally renowned neuropsychologist Elkhonon Goldberg, Ph.D, with additional postdoctoral study in neuroanatomical dissection of the brain and spinal cord. In addition to neuropsychological assessments, she also conducts individual, couples, and family therapy.

Dr. Perkins-Banas also works with athletes for sub-clinical/ clinical issues related to competition and for mental aspects of sports training for peak performance. She conducts baseline testing, assists with return to play decision making, and cognitive rehabilitation in concussion management. She is a certified ImPact Consultant and USTFCCA coach, a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, and a Hall of Fame athlete.

Dr. Michelle Solomon

Dr. Solomon is a license- eligible psychologist who is under the supervision of Dr. Perkins-Banas. She has completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at William James College and she has training and experience in a variety of settings, including private practice, behavioral consultation, community based childhood and family support services, neuropsychological testing centers, schools, college counseling centers, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and outpatient clinics.

Dr. Solomon provides individual, couple, family, and group therapy for a wide range of clinical presentations to support a personal healing and transformation of social, emotional and physical well-being. She treats children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorders. She also performs neuropsychological and psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

Dr. Solomon specializes in the impact of social media on its users. Her graduate work on social media and self-esteem has been repeatedly recognized among scholarly work as one of the most accessed dissertations and theses for several months.

Dr. Erin Sweeney

Dr. Sweeney is a clinical psychologist with specialized training in neuropsychological assessment. She completed a two-year fellowship in neuropsychology at Washington Medical Group in Washington D.C. Dr. Sweeney conducts comprehensive evaluations of young adult to geriatric patients including neuropsychological, educational, and psychological assessments. She offers diagnostic assessments for patients related to problems with attention, behavioral concerns, psychological functioning, trauma, and neuropsychological correlates to complex medical conditions. She is also available for continued consultation regarding testing results. She has particular expertise in assessing traumatic brain injuries, adjustment to diagnosis, and attention disorders.
